WASHINGTON COUNTY CHAPTER PENNSYLVANIA

Chartered in Washington, PA, in 1892.

Beautiful Washington County and its county seat, Washington, were named in honor
of General George Washington, who owned land in and traveled to the county.
Washington County played a role in the French and Indian War,
the American Revolution, and the Whiskey Rebellion.

Washington County's citizens owe a debt of gratitude to the many brave men and
women who sacrificed so much during the American Revolution,
so we may enjoy our liberty and freedom today.
